Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our Treatment Coordinators, and learn more about orthodontic. You’ll receive a complete initial exam and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete oral exam with x-rays, photos and impressions for study models, to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Help you create a customised treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information and payment plans
Our Treatment Coordinators will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Allow yourself an hour or so for your first visit with us. Please contact our office on 5597 3344 to schedule your initial consultation.
What happens after the initial consultation?
After your consultation, and after anlaysing your x-rays, photos and study models, we will schedule your first appointment and your doctor will place your new orthodontic appliance. This appointment generally takes an hour (depending on your type of orthodontic appliance) and during this time our Dental Assistants will be with you the whole way to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible while the orthodontist fits your appliance.
When you’re ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly Receptionists will assist you.
Visiting your orthodontist regularly is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you. Most appointments are between 6-10 weeks apart but sometimes we may need to see you more frequently.
We understand that “life happens”! If you’re running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every 4 to 6 months during your orthodontic treatment for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
